Movie Reviews In One Sentence

We've seen a lot in the past few months so here are some short reviews to peek (peak?) your interest.
  1. Atonement is a sad drama in the 30's about a girl who misunderstands what she sees, ruins people's lives, and tries to redeem herself by writing a book about it when she is old.
  2. WALL-E: With the help of a trash cleaning robot, Pixar tells how life on Earth will be 700 years from now if we don't start living "green".
  3. Devil's Playground is a documentary about the Amish rite of passage in which teens are allowed to pretty much go wild before deciding if they want to enter the Amish faith for life.
  4. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 is a summary of the last 3 books by Ann Brashares about best friends who are trying to keep their friendship intact despite so many changes as they enter college.
  5. The Darjeeling Limited is a Wes Anderson tale of brothers trying to reform their broken relationship on a train through India.
  6. My Kid Could Paint That is a documentary about a toddler who paints contemporary paintings that become so famous the tables turn on the family and the father is suspected of painting the works of art.
  7. 21: This is a true story of a young MIT student who, with the help of a professor, learns to count cards in blackjack to help pay for medical school.
  8. Henry Poole Is Here is about a depressed man who moves to a new neighborhood and learns a lesson in hope and faith thanks to his neighbors and an image of Christ's face that keeps appearing on his house.
  9. Pineapple Express: This comedy is about potheads who witness a murder and try to escape the drug dealers and police that are after them.
  10. Little Children is an Academy Award winning drama based on a book about adults who try to escape their every day mundane lives and end up acting like their children.
  11. Trekkies is the hilarious documentary that follows extreme fanatics of Star Trek movies to different conventions around the country.
  12. Akeelah and the Bee: A young underprivileged girl studies hard to enter the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
  13. Lars and the Real Girl is the story of a socially awkward man who brings the people in town together with the help of his mannequin mail order girlfriend.
