How to Avoid Cabin Fever

We've been "snowed in" since Thursday and we have made the most of it!! Lots of fun quality time spent with each other and with friends. It sleeted most of Thursday, then snowed all day Friday. Thank goodness we didn't lose power this time! Here are a few things that helped us get through this Icepocolypse...

1.Stay in your PJ's for 4 days straight.2. Watch the snow fall from the window3. Go outside and play in it4. Take photos of your home covered in snow and of cool ice covered things5. Measure mandigo icycles
6. Play scrabble...lots of scrabble7. Throw the bone to your dog in the snow8. Ride a dog9. Invite friends over for tacos and games10. Teach your baby fine motor skills with cards11. Throw a surprise birthday party12. If church is cancelled, have church in bed (but don't follow Liv's example and spit up on the pics of Jesus)13. snuggle, snuggle, snuggle!I'm going to be a little sad tomorrow when Ryan has to go back to work. It's been a fun few days, but I'm ready for the ice to melt! What have you done to entertain yourselves if you're snowed in??

While we don't get too much snow here in the NW, when we did get snowed in (and had power) I would watch movies that I loved, or say only watched once a year. Always fun to do with kids too! Jessica Van Winkle

Actually worked Friday until 2:00, but once I got home I wore pj's for 48 hours, had a 2 day movie marathon, made chocolate chip cookies for breakfast and completed the well-rounded diet with quiche, pancakes and pizza! The worst thing I made all weekend was the communion bread!

Wow! Super great icicles! (Finally found the word in the dictionary) Olivia looks like she is great at cards and I love her as a snow bunny.
Dad's communion bread tasted fine. (Its one little bite and about the memory, not the taste.)

You have a card table?! You are ready for some serious gaming! We've never thought to try playing games at your kitchen table, is it too small?

Hope you guys have managed to stay warm. I am super-impressed with Olivia's ability to grip a card. That bodes well for her poker skills. Don't know if you are going to be at the meeting on Monday, but I won't be able to make it in. Too many things scheduled plus a wedding to finish planning.
