Happy Belated Birthday America!

I hope my country will accept this belated birthday post on its behalf. I'm finally getting around to posting more of our Oregon adventures. I might have to break them up some and throw in other posts too, but I'm sure you won't mind. And now if you will please rise for our national anthem (it's the remix)

Oh say can you see
by the firecracker's lights
What so proudly we hugged
at the twilight's last gleaming
O'er the sparklers we watched
Were so gallantly sparking
And the wardrobe's red, white and blue glare
the inlaws eating with care
Gave proof through the night
That our family was there
Oh say does that 4th of July fun
Look reaaaaallly enticing
O'er the land of the free
and the home of the beaver (we were in Oregon)

Don't worry, no children were harmed during these fireworks (but one brother-in-law suffered a major burn thanks to sparklers. And now thanks to that I will probably never let Olivia near one)

Troy no longer has the bandage on and it looks pretty gross. But we had fun, didn't we! We all thank Troy for taking one for the team. And what better way to celebrate our freedom than eating a grilled hamburger. Love, Mom
