Yes we CANton!

Does everyone here know about Canton
I had heard rumors...maybe legends about this mystical small town in Texas, and this weekend I got to experience it with two of my favorite college pals.

For those who don't know, there is a HUGE flea market/antique market/ shopping extravaganza there the weekend before the first Monday of every month. It's so big you can't see it all in one day. It's so huge there's an app for a map of it and it still makes no sense and you'll get lost. But ANYTHING you could possibly want is there.

You want a new fangled vortex hairdryer...it's there!
You want an aquarium of turtles...it's there!
You want a teeth whitening session...it's there! (but do you trust that?)
You want chevron ANYTHING....it's there!
You want a plethora of people on scooters with miniature dogs in their baskets...TONS of them!
You want cheap antique linens....it's there!
You want great people watching....it's there!
You want a whole booth full of Golden Books...it's there!
You want candles, sushi, dishes, rusted farm equipment, state fair quality food, shoes, wooden signs, metal signs, furniture, soup mixes, flowers, rolling carts, new junk, old junk....it's there!

The weather was perfect, the overnight stay at the Pinon Palace didn't disappoint, and catching up on girl chat with two wonderful friends couldn't have been better!
And no trip could be complete without the DQ :)

This was all of our first Canton experiences and it was a great introduction. I will definitely be coming back when I have a new house with new projects and a list with things in mind to buy.

Well, Canton, Texas makes a lot more sense than what I was picturing. Canton, Ohio is the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Somehow I just couldn't picture you wanting to spend time there! Glad you had fun! Love, Aunt Denise
