House Renovation: Livable Guest Room and Playroom Progress

I never showed the guest room with furniture in it! Here it is for now. Don't you want to come stay here?

We still need the closet doors on, trim painted and the door molding. We all love it. Liv loves playing in it. I love laying in here to read or occasionally sleep with Haven if she's having a rough night. The tree limbs right out the window make it look like a treehouse room to me!

Here are the steps and landing Ryan worked so hard on while we were in TN. He did such a good job. He really should be on This Old House with Norm. It just needs some stain work and then it'll be done.

Here's the view from the bathroom.

Then on the 4th of July weekend Ryan starting peeling the wallpaper in the playroom (from where we ripped out the closet).

Luckily the 70 year old paper easily came off and we were done in about 30 minutes.

Then he textured and painted so it's actually looking kind of complete now!
Liv was obsessed with listening to Xmas music this July. Specifically Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers Xmas album. We were all ready to break it by the end of the day.

It all looks very nice and stylish. I had forgotten about the wall paper on part of the wall in the new playroom downstairs. Great work, Ryan!

Great work on the play room, the way I see it. It's good the wallpaper came off easily and without special extra tools since it doesn't often go like that. As for the guest room, the answer is a yes--I'd definitely want to stay in there. Looks cozy enough for me, and it feels like I can easily fall asleep in there within minutes. Thanks for sharing !
